I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to connect with Clover Family Medicine. I am honored to offer you a “slice” of Southern Hospitality in healthcare.
What to expect from Southern Hospitality Healthcare? Being born in Texas and raised in rural South Carolina and Virginia for much of my life, I had the opportunity to experience a community where everyone is treated like family. Growing up in a small farm house on a dirt road, I saw a much different pace of life that was truly centered on living, serving and loving well. Neighbors, family and friends cared for one another without questioning. The pace of life was balanced by the breeze blowing in the lush greenery of the piney woods and feel of soft green clovers under your feet.
I want to bring that same sense of connection and warmth to our practice where we are dedicated to extending kindness through our care and helping you feel supported every step of the way. Southern Hospitality Healthcare is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming environment where every patient feels heard and supported throughout your health journey.
We hope you’ll choose us as your destination in healthcare. To schedule an appointment and visit our practice, follow the link below.
Sincerely,
Dr. Victoria Herold is the owner and Medical Director. She is board certified in family medicine and provides quality, compassionate care through open communication with patients. She began Clover Family Medicine to offer a full range of primary care services including the management of acute and chronic diseases, preventive medicine and women's health. Dr. Herold also has interest in obesity medicine, functional medicine, travel medicine and skin care.
In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, traveling, attending sporting events and spending time outside with her large family. She also loves to volunteer in the children’s ministry at her church. Being a native Texan who lived half of her life in Clover, South Carolina, Dr. Herold wants to bring her family-focused “Southern Hospitality” to Frisco.
Dr, Herold graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency as a Family Physician at AnMed Family Medicine Residency. She practiced Family Medicine at Baylor Scott and White Primary Care at The Star until June 2020. Prior to opening her own practice, she worked with Teladoc as an online Family Medicine physician.
Dr. Herold is currently welcoming new patients.
Dr. Anna Rusk is board certified in Family Medicine and awaiting board certification in Obesity Medicine as well. Her favorite aspect of being in primary care is getting to know and care for each patient on an individual basis. She is passionate about helping patients to achieve a healthy weight in an evidence-based and safe manner, and is excited to join Clover Family Medicine.
Dr. Rusk attended Texas A&M School of Medicine for medical school and completed her residency in Family Medicine at John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth, TX. She previously worked as a primary care doctor at Baylor Scott and White Primary Care at the Star, and then at the Hope Clinic of McKinney, where she also served as their Medical Director.
Dr. Rusk is married and recently had a baby boy; she likes spending time with her family at home. Also in her free time, she enjoys being involved with her local church, baking, and making healthier versions of comfort foods.
Pamela Ford is the office manager with undergraduate degree from Presbyterian College. This is the ideal role for her as she has previously worked as a certified medical assistant, phlebotomist, pharmacy tech, coder, and Captain in the US Army Reserves. She and her family are originally from the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and attending the FC Dallas matches.
Board certified in Family Medicine and licensed in the state of Texas, Dr. Herold’s view on medicine lies between Western and Eastern philosophies, leading with the mindset of functional medicine focused on understanding and addressing root cause. Our mind, body and soul work as a unit. If any of those areas are not well, the other areas will also be affected.
Western Medicine is the common “book” medical physicians in the United States learn. The physician identifies an illness and treats the illness (most commonly with a recurrent medication, without an attempt to identify underlying causes or change behaviors).
Eastern Medicine can involve nonmedication treatments: yoga, massage, breathing exercises, herbs, etc.
Functional medicine studies how an illness or condition started. Then, targets a change to improve and treat the cause of the illness/condition rather than just prescribing a pill.
An excellent physician should: Understand you. Educate you on the condition. Provide treatment options for you to choose.
Typical Office Visit
At Clover Family Medicine, you can expect the following for most of your in-office visits.
The approach at Clover Family Medicine is to listen to you. After all, you are trying to tell us what’s wrong. Then we work together based on the physician’s book and clinical knowledge to help create a plan that you can apply in the “real world.”
